What is Hypnosis?

The state of hypnosis is a totally natural state in which anyone can find themselves several times a day without even realizing it. Most people are not aware that they actually go into a self-hypnotic state throughout the day - every day. It is like being present, without being present at the same time while still being conscious and in control.

This happens when we are in our thoughts during a bus ride… or while watching a movie we like or daydreaming… You’ll be able to hear everything around you, but the sounds will not bother you, similar to how we tend to tune out office noises, the sound of crickets on a warm night or planes flying overhead - they just become part of the background.  

These trans-like states happens when the active analytical mind withdraws from consciousness. It's like taking a mental vacation where you can tap into your subconscious thoughts and feelings to bring about positive changes in behavior or mindset. This is also where barriers, blockages and anchors can be lifted and harmful ideas have no space.

This focused hypnosis session is designed to help you calm anxiety, reduce fear responses, and regain a sense of control and inner safety. During the session, we gently explore the underlying triggers and subconscious patterns that keep anxiety or phobic reactions active, without needing to relive or analyse past experiences in detail. Through guided hypnosis, your nervous system is supported to shift out of fight-or-flight and into a calmer, more regulated state, allowing fear responses to soften and new, more supportive responses to take hold. Many clients experience immediate relief, greater emotional stability, and a renewed sense of confidence. This session can be highly effective as a standalone experience, and for more persistent or deeply rooted patterns, additional sessions may be recommended to support lasting change.

This extended Transformation Hypnosis session is designed to help you understand what is really holding you back and begin creating meaningful change from the inside out. During the session, you’ll have the space to talk through your challenges, gain clarity around your patterns, and learn how your subconscious mind works with you rather than against you. You’ll then be guided into a deep hypnotic state where you can access deeper insight, release emotional weight, and experience a sense of calm, clarity, and inner connection. Many clients leave feeling lighter, more centred, and clearer about their next steps. This session can be experienced as a powerful standalone session or, if deeper work is needed, it can naturally become the first step in a three-session transformation journey designed to support lasting change.

At times in life, when experiences feel overwhelming or difficult to process, aspects of ourselves may gently step aside as a natural form of protection. In this work, we often use the image of the self as a clear glass orb — whole and intact — that may become chipped as life unfolds, with parts of our energy and awareness left behind during moments of stress, trauma, or emotional overload. Reclaiming the Fragmented Self is a gentle hypnosis session that supports the safe return and reintegration of these aspects, allowing them to be welcomed home rather than analysed or forced. In this session you are supported to reconnect with yourself, restoring a sense of inner coherence, wholeness, and authenticity. Many clients describe feeling more grounded, complete, and at ease within themselves, with a renewed sense of clarity and inner alignment.

When you’ve been through something deeply painful, life can start to feel heavy and hard to move through — as if a part of you is still stuck in what happened, no matter how much time has passed. You may feel emotionally triggered, drained, or unable to fully move forward, even when you try your best to “be over it.” This session is designed to help you let go of emotional pain and survival patterns that no longer serve you. This work supports the release of what has been held in your body and subconscious for too long, creating space for calm, clarity, and emotional freedom to return. If you have ever experienced a strong sense of déjà vu, felt inexplicably drawn to certain places or people, or simply feel curious about past life exploration, this session is for you. Through deep subconscious inquiry, your connection to your Inner Wisdom naturally guides the experience toward what is most relevant for you to see, feel, or understand. Inner imagery, memory, and symbolic experience may reveal how other lifetimes or layers of awareness continue to influence your present life. Online hypnosis sessions are facilitated in the comfort and privacy of your own home, using your laptop or desktop computer.
This format allows you to experience the full depth of transformation while remaining in your own safe and familiar environment.

3. A quiet, private space where you will not be disturbed or interrupted during the session.

4. You must be 18 years or older and in full mental clarity.
5. Hypnosis will not work if you are heavily medicated or impaired.

6. Sessions are conducted in English or Afrikaans.

7. Each client must book under their own name and email address.

8. The person booking must be the one receiving the session.

9. For privacy and energetic focus, no one else is permitted in the room or listening in during

For confidentiality and energetic integrity, no one other than the client is permitted in the room during the session.

Why do I need a Assessment Interview before booking certain Hypnosis Sessions?

The Assessment Interview is a complimentary 15-minute call designed to determine whether hypnotherapy is the right fit for you at this stage of your journey. During this conversation, we’ll discuss your goals, your readiness for hypnosis, and address any initial questions you may have. This call also allows Marina to assess suitability and alignment before recommending a full session, ensuring the work is safe, effective, and appropriate for your needs. Hypnotherapy is a powerful process, and not every approach is suitable for every person or situation. By taking this step first, you can move forward with clarity, alignment, and the highest chance of meaningful results.

Is Hypnosis safe and is there a possibility that I can get stuck in Hypnosis?

Hypnosis is completely safe and natural. You are always conscious and in control — similar to how you're aware during a guided meditation or deep daydream. You cannot get stuck in hypnosis, just as you can't get stuck in a daydream.

In fact, most people naturally enter self-hypnotic states throughout the day — when driving, reading, watching a movie, or even working on a computer. These are moments of focused awareness, which we call trance states. During a session, you’ll hear everything around you, but like background noise, it simply fades into the distance. Each experience is unique, but always empowering and restorative.

Will I lose control over what I say or do during a Session?

No, you will never lose control. You are fully present and aware, even while accessing deep emotional or energetic layers. You won’t say or do anything that goes against your values, privacy, or will. That said, healing often requires emotional honesty. If your soul has been trapped in a painful pattern or experience, it may need to revisit that space to fully release and integrate it. Part of our process includes a compassionate pre-session interview, where you’ll have space to share, ask questions, and build trust. Mutual respect is the foundation of this work.

How does it feel for someone to be Hypnotized?

Being in hypnosis feels like deep relaxation paired with heightened inner awareness. You may feel light or heavy, deeply calm, and peaceful — as if your body is asleep but your mind is still present. Some clients experience vivid images, emotions, or physical sensations, while others describe it as similar to daydreaming. You’ll always be aware of what’s happening and able to communicate, but you’ll be more inwardly focused — like tuning in to a deep part of yourself that’s often quieted by the noise of daily life.

What happens during a Hypnotherapy Session?

Each session begins with a conscious conversation about your goals, patterns, or challenges. Once you're comfortable and ready, I gently guide you into a relaxed, receptive state using breath, intention, and voice. I think I am too analytical for Hypnosis. Can I be Hypnotized?

Actually, hypnosis is a natural state that you likely experience mulitple times daily. If you've ever become absorbed in your own throughts and tuned out otherpeople, that is what we call a hypnotic state. If you've ever felt emotions while watching a movie, you've ecperienced a hypnotic state. People with higher IQ's are actually the best candidates for hypnosis because they are more imaginative.

How long is a session and how much does it cost?

Session length varies depending on the type of work you choose. Shorter sessions, such as Anxiety Release or focused Hypnotherapy, are typically around 90 minutes, while deeper transformational work — including Trauma Release & Renew, Past Life Regression, and QCAT (Quantum Consciousness Alignment Therapy) — may extend from 2.5 to 5 hours, allowing sufficient time for depth and integration.

How many Sessions will it take?

This depends on what you would like to work on, how deeply the change needs to be integrated, and your own readiness to let go. Hypnosis is a self-led process, and meaningful transformation occurs when you are able to surrender to your inner experience and allow the healing to unfold. Some clients experience a complete shift in a single session when an issue is clearly defined and ready to be released.

How should I prepare for my hypnosis session?

Preparation is simple. On the day of your session, avoid heavy meals and stimulants, stay well-hydrated, and arrive with an open mind and heart. You may wish to bring a notebook or list of intentions, but it’s not essential.

Wear something comfortable, and try to give yourself space before and after the session for reflection. The calmer your mind and body are going in, the more you’ll get out of your session.

Can I record my own session?

Yes, absolutely. Many clients like to revisit their session afterward, especially if profound messages or subconscious insights came through.

You are welcome to record the session on your device or ask me to send you a copy afterward (when done online).

Listening back can deepen your integration, reinforce suggestions, and allow for more reflection in the days that follow.

I went to another hypnotist and didn't feel that I was under. How will if feel with you?
